BlueKee is a digital identity platform that allows customers to be in control of their data and protect their identity from online and real-world fraud. The app offers a digital identity solution, giving customers the ability to authenticate their own identity while allowing businesses to seamlessly verify this information without the need to store sensitive data.

Over a six-month campaign period, Pure Public Relations executed a strategic campaign to enhance BlueKee’s brand awareness and solidify the business as a premier digital identity protector.

The crowded cybersecurity media space meant that we had to be fast, strategic, and creative in order to carve out opportunities for BlueKee to achieve impactful, widespread coverage. To do this, we meticulously crafted media releases, interviews, and bylined articles to align with the brand’s objectives, leveraging every opportunity to amplify its presence in the Australian market. This coverage across mainstream, trade, and retail media was pivotal in transforming BlueKee from an unknown business with no media presence into a trusted authority on the subject of digital identification.

Employing a proactive approach, Pure Public Relations identified newsjacking opportunities that enabled us to swiftly capitalise on significant events, such as the national digital ID announcement. The fast-paced nature of the news cycle meant we had to respond to these opportunities quickly and effectively, ensuring that we leveraged every opportunity to showcase BlueKee’s expertise in the cybersecurity and data protection space.

We also identified opportunities for BlueKee CEO, Phil Bos, to utilise his expertise in the IT security field to provide commentary and insight surrounding newsworthy topics, such as cybersecurity breaches, online safety tips, and the implications of changes to the Privacy Act on consumers and businesses.

By the end of the campaign, BlueKee had amassed widespread media exposure and were considered to be trusted experts in their field by several journalists and outlets who continued to contact them for comment on relevant stories and issues.
