WayAhead is a non-government, community-based organisation committed to improving the mental health and wellbeing of people throughout New South Wales. The organisation promotes improved wellbeing through the coordination of mental health awareness activities such as Mental Health Month NSW, Perinatal Depression and Anxiety Awareness Week, and WayAhead Workplaces.
WayAhead also provides valuable mental health resources by creating and facilitating seminars, support groups, mental health directories, forums, and workshops. Its vision is to help create a society that values, understands, and actively supports mental health and wellbeing.
HOW WE WORK
For a second year in a row, Pure Public Relations developed a campaign to establish WayAhead as a leading authority and support organisation for mental health. In the lead-up to Mental Health Month in October 2023, we worked to promote WayAhead’s messaging and resources with media coverage across TV and radio interviews, as well as opinion pieces and advice articles in several major publications
By harnessing the power of Mental Health Month, Pure Public Relations helped WayAhead to increase awareness that, when it comes to mental health, “we all have a role to play”, while also generating awareness and interest in their annual awards program. Pure Public Relations promoted the Mental Health Month ambassador and created case studies to share with the media.
Pure Public Relations also helped plan, design, and implement research findings in collaboration with a research company, which was then shared with the media. We worked alongside the research company to develop the research questions and identify the most compelling, newsworthy findings.
RESULTS
Pure Public Relations worked with WayAhead to achieve substantial media coverage across consumer, trade, digital, and print outlets.
