The Pro Patria Centre is an organisation dedicated to providing support and assistance to veterans, active service members, and their families. Based in regional NSW, the centre’s primary mission is to enhance the well-being of the military community by offering a range of services and programs. These services encompass medical treatment, mental health support, career development, education, and community engagement.
HOW WE WORK
After learning that the organisation needed to purchase its rented Wagga Wagga property in order to continue operating, the Pro Patria Centre approached Pure Public Relations with the goal of attracting donations towards the cause. With just months left to raise funds towards the purchase, Pure Public Relations was tasked with creating a campaign that would make a big impact in a short period of time.
To do this, the campaign focused on securing bylined articles, interviews, and media coverage in predominantly mainstream media to reach as many people as possible, given the time-sensitive nature of the issue. Human interest stories and case studies from veterans and first responders who had previously been treated at the Pro Patria Centre were used to generate recognition of the amazing services offered and how they help the community.
These stories achieved widespread coverage across mainstream TV, radio, print, and digital media. Throughout the campaign period, Pro Patria Centre received $75,000 in donations and achieved valuable brand recognition. The campaign played a vital role in communicating the incredible work of the Pro Patria Centre and played a significant role in helping the organisation achieve its goal of purchasing its Wagga Wagga property.
