Have you ever felt invisible to an organisation that you were considering doing business with? It is often enough to take your money elsewhere.
My husband and I recently stayed at a beautiful resort at Palm Cove (about 30min drive north of Cairns in North Queensland). Even though I was on holiday I could not help but see the resort as a great marketing case study of a business that under-sells itself but understands that little gestures can mean a lot to a customer.
When you consider that you have just as many opportunities to create a fantastic image for your business as you have to create a poor image, you can see why it is so important to have a well thought-out marketing plan that takes into account all of these opportunities in a logical way.
You’d be letting your business down if you didn’t.
The days of “create a product that is so good that it will market itself” are gone. As are the days of “create a website with information about your business and sales pitches about your offerings, and the web visitors and sales will just come”.
